| Praying for Farmers 10 March 2010 |

My buddy, Tom, was gracious enough to help me with a little fun PHP code that diverts spyders from infiltrating your inbox. Thank you Tom! You can see my first little work of it in action at www.j-barton.com. I don't have all the kinks worked out, but the good news is that it serves the purpose it was created for. Huzzah! Lexie - 1, Sypders - 0 (for now). Moving on, I was listening to K-LOVE this morning and as many of you know, this Sunday we're setting the clocks forward for Daylight Saving Time. Consequently, this is also the National Day of Prayer for Farmers, or something to that extent. It's seems fitting since DST is supposed to be for the farmers anyway (really it's for power companies, but I digress). So, since the weather has been really quite bizarre this year, there's a lot of worry in the field of farming (no pun intended) about the prosperity of their crops in the coming seasons. For all of the readers out there, I would just like to ask that you say a prayer for the farmers this coming Sunday, mainly that their crops produce enough to keep them in business and so that it will keep the price of food down at the grocery stores. Thanks for your help! And lastly, there have been a chain of birthdays that I'd like to recognize: Happy Birthday Ty (3/2), Happy Birthday Sarai (3/5), Happy Birthday Grandma (3/6), Happy Birthday Greg (3/7), Happy Birthday Jonathan (3/9). Yes... I think that covers all of them for now... |
